Now we don’t know yet exactly what kind of proof the Iranians actually have on the latest assassination of an Iranian scientist. I like action novels and movies just like many people but let’s examine this incident objectively because this is real life and has real life and death consequences.
First let’s be honest, this operation has all the markings of a Mossad hit but could just as easily been done by American operatives also. They have the motive and really are the logical choice.
This in any stretch of the matter would be labeled as an act of terrorism and indeed that is what the US government tried to label some Iranian used car dealer who supposedly wanted to kill a Saudi official some months back. Of course that was so sloppily done that the public and news agencies pointed out inconsistencies that it became apparent it was nothing but a false flag event.
So back to the point. We are spending trillions of dollars on a war on terror. Our leaders vowed to basically annihilate any country or state that supported terrorism. Yet here we are doing the very same thing we complain about Iran doing.
It’s easy to see why many people in the world and not just Islamic fundamentalists have a negative opinion of the US. Now really their view is of the government but that view of our government is reflected on to us. We tell the world the government of the US is run by the people. Many people in the world not knowing the truth assume this is something the American public condones.
So you shouldn’t be surprised since we started something along these lines that it will not at sometime be visited upon some American citizen, maybe a scientist of some sort as part of an eye for an eye type revenge killing.
I wonder when the act is carried out, how will the family of the one who is killed, feel about the US government basically putting a target on their loved one, causing the Iranians to even the score.
The American people, if they do not speak up, will soon find themselves in another war, with a country like Afghanistan that has shown the will to lose many lives while not giving up or surrendering. And they will not be alone, Russia and China both have strong business interests with Iran and will not sit idly by and watch their interests destroyed.
The people need to be sceptical of the government and require a full debate with concrete evidence before any movement toward open war is started. And this time it should be clear that if public officials take part in providing false intelligence etc. that they will be going to jail instead of just being asked to resign in shame. Let’s see where each representative votes and if he truly votes the way his constituents want or if he votes the way the international bankers want.
